I was recharging my AC when I heard a loud grinding noise for a slip second and my car almost stalled out. I think my compressor is bad, but I wanted to hear from someone else.

 

wecome to the forum. when you recharged your a/c, did you add a/c lubricant with the charge, if not the compressor locked up. replace, make sure you put in the lubricant with the charge and should be good to go. just for info, the charge should not be released into the air.
