Accord problem, need suggestions!!

Hello To all!!

I've been having a problem with my 1998 V6 honda accord. Every once and while the car won't start. It turns over but does not start, leaving me stranded for usually 45 minutes until it eventually starts. Mostly happens when it is really hot and humid out but i'm not sure that has an effect on it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. If you need more information just let me know. Thanks !

I have basically the same problem, except mine is a 4 cylinder. Mine always does it in hot weather, never when it is cool. Pull the intake hose off the air filter assembly, spray some carb cleaner in it, and after couple of times it will crank right up and stay running. Atleast you wont have to sit 45 minutes.

My 98 Accord EX 4 cyl with 216,000is currently having the same problems. Local dealer rec that I replace ignitor ($557). OEM ignitor purchased ($176) replaced and it is still inconsistently starting.

Other forums suggest replacing 'main relay', ingnition switch and/or battery cables. I'll keep the forum informed of what works.:)
