accord shifter knob prob
 

I have a 2004, auto, 4 cylin., & I am having the hardest time w/ the shifter knob. To go from park to any other gear I literally have to use 2 hands to press down the little knob. Same event when I finish driving & try to put the car in park. Once I get the knob down enough, the shifter will go willingly.Strangely enough, when I put the car in reverse, & then reverse I have no problem switching from reverse to drive. Any ideas?

Awelcome in,first check the fluid level,if full pull the codes .

Thanks for your response! Took the car in and they told me there was something sticky-prob from a spill they saw when they dismantled it. They cleaned it up no charge. Mama always said, "don't eat in the car".

Never would have guessed that ,glad your problem was fixed.:eek:
