Thanks shocar4!

I've done this job in the past on a 94 Camry and a 93 Altima. Not a bad job if you have the tools and time, but for $50 for labor... that sounds like a good deal. I just checked with NAPA locally and the shafts are $58 a piece for new. That sounds pretty good.

I was just looking for someone who has done this replace/repair to see if there is something you should know before tackling the job. Sometimes inside knowledge will save you a lot of time and effort along with some frustration!

I don't think sleeper has done a half shaft change, Best you get a impack socket to take the nut loose, takes approx 400 ft lbs. I used a 30 in snap on breaker with a 5 ft pipe to break the nut. also need a pry bar, and a phenelic (sp) wood to use on the trans side to not break the case when jerk push the half shaft out. Not as easy as it is said. Get a manual or watch someone do it first... lots of muscle and proper tools. or practice at a junk yard.
