Car leaking after remote car starter installation
I have quite the dilemma. I have a 2010 Honda Accord LX. After a rain storm, when I pull my car out in reverse or drive rain water drips anywhere from 2-16oz of water on the drivers side floor and passengers side floor.
The car does NOT leak while driving. It only leaks with the first shift of gears after a rain storm. This concerns me because it is leaking on all of the electrical wiring in my steering column and behind the glove box.
I have cleaned the cowel drains out but did not check yet for any cracks in the body seam. I have had a window specialist see if the window seal is cracked and he did not find anything significant. The car does not have sun roof.
The interesting part is that this happened after I had the BestBuy technicians install my automatic car starter. Before I call BestBuy and ask if this happened to people before, I would like to get other opinions from you. This has many mechanics dumb founded because they can't trace this leak to anything without taking out the dashboard and other expense labor dismantling procedures.
Could a seal or gasket be loose from the car starter installation process causing water to come inside the car?
Please help!
