Car won't start
My car quit running while I was driving home. It didn't sputter or make any noises. Since then it won't start. I replaced the distributor cap, spark plugs and the main relay fuse beneath the dash. Can anybody help? This is driving me crazy! [:@] It's a '91 accord.

welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay, have you checked your timing belt to be good or changed, your coil in the distributor may be bad. Also be sure you have fuel pressure at your rails.

RE: Car won't start
Is there any way I can check those on my own? Or should I take it to a mechanic? I also check for a spark from the spark plug and there wasn't one. Thanks for the quick response!

RE: Car won't start
is it the starter problem? try check it out.
if it is good, better you take it to a mechanic and he will check your engine. |
RE: Car won't start
Do think the starter could have caused some kind of short in the engine since it quit while I was driving? Plus, whenever I try to jump the car it sounds like it's really close to starting but it won't turn over. Without trying to jump it, it sounds like crap.

RE: Car won't start
http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl415h.htm In this link is exactly what happened to me. After a lot of reading it seems that my main problem is that I've lost spark. Which could be a bad ignition coil, distributor or ignitor. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, did you get it fixed?
