Coolant temp sensor

I have yet another question to ask...seems as if the gauge on the dash stopped working...my question is where is the sensor located ?...the one I think it might be is right in the thermostat housing ..but then again I've been reading on YouTube and the internet that there could be two sensors , one for the gauge and one for the fan ?...by the way a 99 2.3 accord..the gauge always seem to run on the low side since I've owned the car , just today I noticed it not working at all even after a 60 mile trip the temperature being right around 32 degrees thanks guys for your help , i'm new to Hondas and trying to learn

temp guage sensor is located just below the distributor cap. may have to take the cap off to get access. if your engine is not overheating, it may be the guage its self. try tapping on the front of the plastic shield to see if it jumps up. if not it may be the temp guage sensor.

turned out it was the temp gauge sensor,,,i figured i'd hit the you pull it yard and get one or two there ,just to try , heck 2 sensors for $5 isn't that bad...was pretty easy to change if the new used one craps out then i'll buy a new one but who know this one looked new to me , still a bright brass color so it just might be fairly new thanks again guys for your help

thanks for the reply, glad you got it fixed. when i go to the salvage yard, im like a kid in a candy store, as long as i can look, i won't stop. only quit when i get hungry, then go home. lol. and the price is right.
