CVT Transmission maintenance
Have a 2014 Accord with 22,000 miles on it and was curious what the recommended tranny fluid change would be for the CVT?
I don't like the on dash reminder but would rather know at about what mileage a tranny fluid change whould be done.
Also, I have heard that the CVT tranny is more delicate that the regular shifting tranny used on older models. Has anyone experienced more problems or heard anything regarding the reliability of the CVT's?
Also, If I were to do the fluid change myself, is there a filter or not?
How do I know when Ihave reached the proper fluid level since there is no dipstick. Is it just as simple as pulling the plug, draining and bringing it to a certain level?
Thanks, Rick

welcome to the forum. I was advised by a tranny shop that if all owners of automatic trans replaced their trans fluid once a year, many shops would close up their doors for lack of broken trans. Fluid is Honda only. sorry can't answer the rest, don't know.
