ENGINE CHECK LIGHT IS BACK P0420
 

Hello, I have a Honda Accord LX 4 cyl. 1999 and I changed the o2 sensor by the manifold (before the catalytic converter) because the code reader from Autozone says "catalytic system below treshold bank 1 " something like that.
So I was told to change the sensor by the manifold.
well, the check engine light is back. yes, I erased the code and disconnected the battery.

Any idea or similar problem???

Aloha BOUNTY welcome to the forum. Have read many sensor problem like yours, I have been advised that if you put in anything other than a factory honda o2 sensor, that at times the light will return.This was even when it was found out that Honda uses the same type of sensor.
