Engine Oil Type in a different country

Hello,

I have a US 2017 Accord which uses 0W-20 oil.
I currently drive the same car in the Middle east. Should I change the oil type?
According to the user manual of Accords in the Middle east, the oil is 5W-30. Also, Total lubricants "LubConsult" tool recommends 5W-30 for the Middle East and 0W-20 for the US.

Does Honda use different engines in different regions for the same car? If not, then does the weather difference warrant the oil type difference?

Use what you have been using.

Wouldn't the hotter climate cause the oil to go thinner? why would Honda recommend a heavier oil for the middle east if the engine is the same globally?

You car operates at a specified temperature through a thermostat and radiator. If everything is working as designed you should be good. Even in the hottest parts of the planet an engine needs to warm up.

The issue is not cooling or lack there of. It is about oil viscosity. If the temperature goes higher than normal, oil viscosity decreases below the designed levels, which reduces the lubrication performance below the initial design.
IFF Honda uses the same engine for each car globally (Which am not sure of), then the oil should change with region according to the car user manual.

You are not listening. That engine runs at about 200 degrees regardless of winter, summer or country. . Oil viscosity is mainly a concern for cold climates.
