i have an 01 accord. when i go to push the gas pedal its like its gets stuck for a second then goes down. any suggestionss?

 

i'm not going to lie, i'm not a genius in this area but i would check your throttle body under the hood. basically a cable runs from your pedal to your throttle body which controls how much air is taken into the engine. usually with the motor running, you can pop the hood and pull back on the throttle which simulates pressing the pedal. from here you can see if your thottle is sticking or not. could be a sticking throttle, crimped or bad cable, or maybe a number of other things. anyone else have any ideas?
