HELP! Accord Tire Size?????

I've got a 99 Accord EX....stock wheels, stock 205/65/15 tires. Really low on money and ran across a awesome deal on set of 215/70/15 tires. Anybody know if these will work?
Thanks!

I went up one size on my 2001 with no problems,is that the stock size for the V-6? If so I would say no sweat. I think my Accord stock size was 195 and I went 205,s

I'm by no means an expert on tires but I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about with the concerns of 205 vs 215. I think that deals more with the tread. The issue is going from a 65 to a 70. That number represents a ratio between the side wall height and the width of the tire. I difference of 5 translates to a very small difference in side wall height, which is what you need to worry about. Each time I changed tire sizes and went to a lower profile tire I upped the rim size to compensate for the diameter change of the overall tire. I'd say you should be fine in buying these other ones but you may cause your instruments to not read very accurate since the overall wheel size is oversized now. Again the change in the height of the tire is very small so you may never notice any changes. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'm going to try them....$80 for the whole set....guy I know bought them, put them on his car for a couple days then decided he wanted new wheels, so he had to buy tires to fit new wheels. Thanks for all the help!!

A agree, your speedo will be off just enough to notice, taller tire means slower revolution, speedo will be off by about 2 MPH.

Man thats a great deal, let us know how you like the wider tire,I think it gives a better stance and corner ability.

205/60 R15 to 225/55 R16

I changed from 205/60 R15 to 225/55 R16. Its pretty big, will it cause handling issue?

I was wondering what would be the ideal tire pressure. Currently its 30 front and 32 rear.
