Price seems a bit high. have you tried other repair shops to get estimates. Sometimes alighnment shops have better rates due to after all has been changed, a wheel alighment needs to be done. Forgot to ask, what or why does all the work need to be done? was the car in a front end collision or run into a high curb, or driving over a lot of pot holes. not often does the rack and pinion has to be changed on a honda. Loud noise from pwr steering, car reverted back to manual steering???

1900 is high but you have to remember that most shops are out to rip you off thats how they make money especially when people aren't willing to learn how to do there own car work they got you between a rock and a hard place. since we can't physically examine your car there's no way to know if these parts are needed. do what was said and have the car looked at by a different shop or a mechanically inclined friend.

Hi,
I'm doing the job right now and if you pull the boot away from the main body of the rack you will see or not see leaking power steering fluid.
If it's dripping out all over your hand then you have a problem.
If not then probably is your pump, which is much easier to change.
Given that your fluid is full and you are getting no assist from the pump.
Check the most obvious things 1st; leaks or loose fittings or a busted high pressure line.
If everything is clean and no leaks but still no assist then at least you have narrowed it down alot.
