Default I need to replace my battery but have no radio code

I have a dying battery in my Honda Accord Sport (2016). Basic model, no frills.
I can buy a new battery at Costco for $79. The Honda dealer charges almost $200 to put the same basic battery in. I understand the radio code is lost so it becomes inoperable after a battery replacement. I have googled the heck out of this and everything I have found about resetting the code in the radio is different. I have a question. I have been unable to find a code card or sticker in the vehicle.
If I replace the battery, and I press the one and six when turning the radio on, will it give me a serial number or a code? Has anyone else with this model ever done this that can help me on this forum? I have always owned Fords until this Honda, which I really like except the owners manual seems to have plenty of errors. I don't want to pay a dealer an extra $100 when I can buy an equal or possibly better battery at Costco.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Tom

There are things called memory savers which put 9 to 12 volts on the system but at lower current capacity.
This should allow one to change the battery with out losing the memory for ECU and radio.
Just be careful not to short anything.

Good luck
