My 99 Accord 5 speed is jerking under acceleration and sometimes sputtering at constant speed. I believe it is a fuel pump/strainer problem, as this car has no in-line fuel filter that can be changed. Any thoughts before I go check the fuel pump?

I also drive the car close to empty before every fill up. Thanks.

 

welcome to the forum. Looking at hondaautomotiveparts.com illustration #9 shows a fuel canister, approx by the left wheel well. Might check it with your car.
