little crack exhaust manifold 03 honda accord 2.4 ex
very small leak in my exhaust manifold. it’s so small i don’t have lights on or anything. the only reason i took it in is cause i can slightly hear it. i’m not a huge car guy. but i was told to go ahead and order the parts i needed and when the light finally came on for it, pay to get it fixed. only problem is i’m not sure what i’m looking for. i know to replace that i need to replace the cat. has anybody ever had this problem? what would you suggest? i guess i’m not asking google the right questions

welcome to the forum. i had a honda civic that developed a small crack in the y section of the cast iron exhaust manifold. i took the exhaust manifold off and took it to a good weld shop, or you can find a good shop and drive it there, usually a muffler shop that can weld cast iron. in my case i separated the cat from the manifold and took the manifold to weld. and reinstalled it. never did crack again. or you can go to cheaperhondaparts.com or hondaautomotiveparts.com or any on line honda parts and look for the exhaust manifold. there are diagrams to view and broken down to individual parts. or go to a salvage yard and get a good used one. if you are not mechanical, you can find a reputable exhaust shop to do the work. when you got to the honda parts site, put in your car info and look under engine, exhaust manifold. 18100-raa-a11 494.77 list cost 364.34 18115-dnb-003 gasket ex. 16.97 list 11.88 cost. make sure you look these up to verify its a match to your vehicle.
