Default odometer display question

I just bought a 2012 accord lx sedan and I notice that the odometer display doesn't show anything other than trip a/b and oil 100%.

I have a corolla 10 le and the odometer displays the MPG and calculates how many miles I have left before need to refuel.

I was wondering if the honda odometer is something that can be programed by the dealer or do I just get what I paid for??

honda does have this but only on certain models you can't just have it programmed. there are after market devices that do the same thing with higher accuracy.like this Ultra Gauge it only cost 60 bucks and plugs directly to your obd2 port http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/index.htm here is a vid

I was going to suggest, but lowlife beat me to it,these things are well worth the price you can get six seperate screens of info ,average MPG trip, present MPG .not to mention code readouts.
