Power Steering Woes..
Ok, story goes..
I was replacing my alternator in my 2000 Accord 4 door V6 auto.. I guess I accidently put the reservoir upside down and air got into the power steering system, because once I got the alt back in my pump was wining like crazy and wouldn't stop (tried to bleed it turning the wheel etc.) I went to auto zone got a new pump.. Was still doing the same thing, had a bunch of little bubbles in the reservoir both times. Turned the wheel plenty of times would ease off for a little while but then start wining like crazy again.. This is my second time replacing my pump and now I don't get anything, I cranked up my car got a little whine for literally one second and it stopped, now it's hard to steer the wheel just sitting there. So I assume the pump isn't pumping AT ALL.. I just don't know what to do now, has anyone else had this problem and it be just a hose lose or something? I really want to start driving it again. Thanks in advance to everyone.. |
Anyone have an idea? I'm getting a new pump thursday..

Take off the serp belt and high pressure line and spin the pump by hand to bleed all the air out of it. :D With the wheels off the ground. |
