Power windows quit working, help please!
All the power windows on my 1997 Accord wagon quit working at the same time. I checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood, all were good. I also swaped the windshield wiper relay for the power window relay and that didn't work either. I found a disconnected yellow wire plug right above the hood release lever that I may have separated with my foot or while opening the hood. I plugged it back in but still no power windows. Also, the power mirror adjuster doesn't work. Could it be the control unit in the driver's side door? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

welcome to the forum. It is possible that the control unit in the drivers side door is shorted out. If rain or liquid gets in the control, it will not work. or the connector to the control unit is loose. take the control out and view the back connector.

Welcome in,do the controls on the other door work OK?You don't have the window lockout on do you.I have heard that trying this sometimes works,Try moving the wiper to the middle position then crank the car.People say it resets the windows. worth a try.

Thanks for the info. I'm still lost. None of the widow switches work from any door. By moving the wiper do you mean setting the switch before starting, or actually moving the wiper arms on the windshield?
I checked out the electrical connection that became unplugged. It's a yellow 2 pin connector and there are no wires coming out of the other side of the connection. Could it be a place to plug in some kind of test meter? When it came unplugged could that have caused something to keep my windows from working.
I did check and I have power at the fuse box. My power roof works. The only things that don't work are all the windows and the power mirroe. I did remove the drivers door control module and all connections are in place.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bob
