Default Radio Adapter for 2002 Accord

The CD player has quit in my wife's car. She is reluctant to replace/repair it because the car is so old. Is there an adapter I can install that will allow an external CD player to play through the speakers in the car? Or are there other options I haven't thought of?

Thanks!

welcome to the forum. yes there are adaptors to add in another cd to use to your speakers on the car. Most cd's come with the wiring in back and all you do is splice in the wires to your current speaker wires behind the radio.

Default CD Radio Adapter

Well of course I know that I can haywire in an adapter. What I hope to find is something made for the purpose that just plugs in. If someone has a source it would be helpful.

Thanks for the welcome!

I got mine from best buys, also from radio shack, and circuit city when they were open. many stereo shops have them also.

Default CD Adapter

Thank you. I will go there and see what I can find. Do you happen to have a model or part number?

BTW, I keep telling the software to "remember me" when I log in but it never does and I have to log in all over again at each visit. What's up with that?

or you can buy an ipod for her and get the wireless cigarette adapters. wouldn't have to splice anything, but with t he positive there is always a negative. the quality is not as good.

Good suggestion, but it's kinda hard to play CDs on an iPod. Sshe is handicapped and "reads" books on CD which is why the CD player is so important.
