Replaced Idle air control valve. Car is revving in park. 2000 Honda Accord v6
 

Hey guys.

I recently got a code saying I needed to replace the IACV and went ahead and bought a new one and installed it. Since I installed the new IACV, my car has been idling weird and revving up on it’s own between 1k and 2k RPMs. I have read that my cars computer might be struggling to relearn with the new valve. Anyone have any tips or advice on how to move forward?

welcome to the forum. possible vaccum leak, air pocket in the coolant system, clean the egr valve.
