Smoky tail pipe
 

My Honda Accord 2016 Sport has a smoky tail pipe. Even after its warmed up, there’s thin white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Have been checking the oil level and it burns around 0.5 quarts in 1,300-1,500 miles. The smoke seems to go away when it’s in drive and moving, but comes back immediately after it stops moving. I added ATP 205 reseal thinking it’s the valve seals, but after 300+ miles, doesn’t seem to have changed anything for me. Doesn’t seem like a coolant leak. I installed a new PCV valve about a month ago. The car has 90,000+ miles, the oil and filter are changed every 4,000-5000 miles. What could this be? Is it normal?

If that is oil smoke your catalyst will be ruined in short order. Are you sure it's not water vapor?

I don’t know if it’s oil or water vapor… It is humid where I live come to think of it. But also oil does get burned while I drive it, about 1/2 quart in 1,300 miles. Even after 6 hours of operation, the smoke is still there.

That amount in that many miles is considered normal. feel the inside of the tailpipe. Is it oily or watery?
Does it drip? Look like there's a little puddle of water under the tips of your exhaust. One of the things a converter does is to produce water.

Just rubbed my finger around the diameter, it’s actually pretty clean.

I guess it’s condensation steam, just thought that after 15-20 minutes of the vehicle getting to normal operating temps the steam would stop, but it seems to go on indefinitely. Doesn’t seem to steam when I’m motion, however.

That's more of an airflow thing.
Your not burning oil really. That's clean.
