Default Temp. Control

I own a 91 and 92 accord. Both have recently developed a problem with the temperaturecontrol for the heater and air conditioner. The **** turns but the heat or air does not change temperature. As you turn the **** it does not feel like it is doing anything. Is this problem fixable by a non mechanic? Do you have to pull the dash out?

Default RE: Temp. Control

Welcome to the forum,Hope some of us can help you out. As the **** turns, it has a circular groove that a bent rod sits in and opens or closes a valve. the rod may have jumped out of the groove or the groove is damaged, the lower panel needs to come out to work on, If you go to Autozone.com, it may show you the pic and how to work on it. it will be in repairs.sign in for free to get more info.
