Timing belt

Hi, I have a 02 coupe with a the 4 cyl. Thinking about changing the timing belt and assorted parts including the water pump myself. Can anyone tell me if it is a hastle and I should let someone else deal with it. I do lots of mechanic work on my own stuff including a 99 mitsubishi eclipse, mercury mountaineer, 4.3L ski boat and my airplane. If it isn't any worse than changing the eclipse timing componets then I should be ok. thanks

I know this is a little late of response but it's very do-able and user friendly only if you have a little time and the right tools. Here is what you'll need to get the job done. a basic set of metric 1/4" and 3/8" sockets and ratchets, a carhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png jack, two jack stands, a 1/2" breaker bar (longest you can find), 1/2" extensions (1 1/2'-to-2' in length), 1/2" metric 17mm 6-point socket, SPTools P/N 11500 cam gear wrench, a pair of safety glasses and a few glasses of tea. Expect a good days worth of work to finish the job and that's it:eek:
