My son has a 2006 Accord from which he received a recall on some software for which 'i think had to do with the tranny. He didnt respond to the recall repair (stupid kid) and now he has trnsmission slippage in which the dealer claims he needs a new tranny ($4000 installed) and th e recall had nothing to do with it. The car has 93000 mis. on it . Could it be possible the dealer is hiding something? Anyone have any similar recalls?

 

well most honda automatic transmissions are complete junk especially the newer models. and you can pick up a used transmission for a couple hundred dollars and have a shop put it in for around a grand maybe les so that's less then half of what the dealer wants. always steer clear of dealers there a complete rip off.
