Transmission Problem-94 accord
 

Is there a reason why my 94 accord jerks reallyhardwhen it shifts to 3rd gear? (its an automatic)it only jerks when it changes to 3rd. All other gearshifts are smooth and unnoticable. please let me know how to solve this

have you had your trans fluid changed at regular intervals, how many miles do you have on the trans?

the fluid was changed at its intervals before the car passed 100,000km(60,000miles) after that, records tell me it wasnt changed till i did it myselfat 185,000km(115,000miles) im the 3rd owner.i used genuine fluid and read on this site that you have to drain and refill 3 times to get all the old fluid out, i did all that but it still shifts terribly into 3rd

check the 3rd gear pressure circuit on the side of your transmission. you can probably change this yourself. they are a common problem.

Thanks for your info. You say i could probably do this myself but im not too sure where to start. Can you run me through theprocess and the tools i need, that would help out alot, thanks!
