What did you pay for your Accord?

Hi everyone,

a couple of years ago, I went to a dealership to purchase a new car and I didn't know what I was doing. I got totally ripped off.
Ever since then, I've educated myself on how to negotiate better and it got me pissed off on how badly I was ripped off.

I'm in the process of creating an online database of prices people have paid for their new cars. If anyone here has bought a brand new Honda over the last few months, please submit your info to the database. I've set it up where you can see how well you did compared to other buyers. (once there is enough prices submitted)

The site is brand new so please forgive the lack of info in the database, that's why I need your help:

Please submit what prices you paid at:
http://www.realcartips.com

I apologize if this is considered spammy, but I don't know of a better place to ask for this type of information. There is no advertising on the site, i'm just trying to build a database for everyone to view.

RE: What did you pay for your Accord?

Hey greg,

This is what I do when I go shopping for cars, I go to CarsDirect and find a quote for the car with all the options I want. I print it out and then take it to the dealership and say that I want it 500-1000 below what Carsdirect can give me for. Normally it works out pretty well, I've been sort of an ambassador for my friends when they buy cars, so far its been good. Dealerships will normally give you $1000 of what CarsDirect is offering, anymore then that and you got a great deal. No haggling, no hassle, just go in show them your price you want, show them the quote from CarsDirect and usually its a done deal, at least my experiences anyways.
