Windshield wipers quit working

I have a 2003 Honda EX V6 with 55k. Yesterday the wipers quit working. First they went real slow then stopped up on the windshield. The next time I drove it theywere stuck up on the windshield and I had to force them down by hand. [:@]

I have checked fuse #11 and it is okay. Is there any other fuse I should check? Where is the wiper motor located at? Is this something I can change out myself?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

John

jmckean907 welcome to the forum, hope we can all help you out here. I don't see another fuse per wire diagram. The wiper motor is in the grill cowl just back of the hood, fwd of the windshield. and yes you can do it if you're mechanically talented. remove the wiper arms, remove the cowl cover (grill) remove clips, the motor and linkages will be exposed. Suggest you take some pic's before taking them apart if you have a digital camera, or draw a pic, makes it easier to put back togeather. few bolts to remove motor.

Hello,

I use to be a former Honda and mercedes tech. Anyway, I also have a 2003 Honda Accord and the wipers quit working on the morning of a rainstorm, go figure...Murphy's Law...

After taking apart the wiper arms, Cowling, wiper motor bracket and removing the motor, this is what I found...

RE: Windshield wipers quit working

Sorry about the last post, I hit OK after posting the pic and that ended the post.

Anyway, the small transistor that probably provides the ground for the motor is rusted and basically fell apart and is causing the motor not to work.

I tested the plug coming from the car and I have 12 Volts when I tsted for low and high speeds. They are pins 2 & 3 and 2 & 5 respectively.

Long and short is change the motor, dealership wants around $140, you can find an oem replacement for about $80.

Hope this helps!!

And, FYI, Fuses 7, 11, 20 and 21 serves the wiper relay box and wsaher pump.
