Default 05 civic headlight problem

Hi all, I have a 05 civic and my headlight went out. I changed the bulb and check the fuses but my light still didn't come on. Before, I just bang on the light and it would go on. Now it went completely dead. I'm thinking its some kind of electric/wire problem. Anyone have any ideas before I take it to the shop and have them charge an arm and leg to fix it. Thanks

I have the same problem on my '03 Civic. I have tested the wires, relay, fuses etc and have no clue what it could be. All the wires on the affected light appear to have same voltage as the working side. I swapped a relay with a known working one and still the driver's side does not work.

If I remove the bad lights fuse and leave the other in, the bad light will turn on along with the working lights but they are both dim.

The high beams on both lights work perfectly.

The only thing I can think of it being is the headlight switch on the steering column. Both bulbs are new and the non-working low beam bulb works normally on the other side's connector.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
