Default 1991 Honda Civic Hatch no compression

SO i blew the rings on my old motor and got this one used to put in the car, it only had about 60k miles and was running when removed from the car. Its a B18A1 from a 93 acura, my old motor was a B18A1 from a 96 so it had the different valve cover on it. anyway i put my intake, cam shafts and valve cover on it from my old motor, put a brand new clutch in, all new gaskets from the head gasket up, check the cylinders while the head was off, No scoring or anything out of the ordinary. everything looked perfect so i didnt replace the rings. i got it all together and i have 0 compression on any cylinder, not a single pound. I adjusted the timing a hair and got about 10 psi, adjusted a little more and got it up to 60psi so i decided to rotate another tooth on the gear, i have the holes lined up on the gear side, the "up" markings on the gears are pointed up, and the marks 90 degrees from the "up" are pointed at eachother. it looks as perfect as it can get until i get to the compression test and im back to 0 compression again. I do have the motor at TDC.

Any input at all would be great because im at a total loss here i dont know what else to do im getting ready to put it on craigslist as-is but id really like it fixed.

Ok I see you've swapped out cams. Just curious as to whether or not you adjusted the valves accordingly with your cams.
