1996 Honda Civic, bypass for power windows
OK, so I have this honda that has been through the rigors and am hoping that someone can help me. I've been having problems with the power windows and over the course of time they've all systematically stopped working. I've chk'd fuses, switches, and replaced regulators, it seems that the issue is electrical. I know this may be a bit far off, but is there a way that I could run a toggle switch direct from the battery to the windows themselves as to avoid the astronomical charge the dealership may hit me with in diag'ing and fixing this issue? Please let me know what you guys think.

welcome to the forum. Have you tried going to the junk/salvage yards to pick up parts needed for the window, I have found that when I take small parts and put them into one can, they normally charge me a lot lower amount for the parts needed.
If you plan to put toggle switches, you need to remember to put in 3 way switch, up, down, middle being off and the person who opens or closes the window must know to release the switch back into the neutural position or the motor will burn out trying to open or close the widow or burn the fuse out first. (not toosafe for children)
