2000 Civic misfire

My 2000 Civic sedan had the check engine light come on (not blinking) shows "manufactured ignition or cylinder misfire" code. 107,000 miles. Replaced distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Reset light. Light stayed off until the car was sitting for half a day and the next time it was driven the light comes back on. Reset the light again after noticing one of the plugs wires popped off the spark plug. Replaced wire. Again, the light stayed off while driving. Cooled off and then came back on after starting later running at 45mph about 2-3 minutes after starting engine. After researching some, I'm thinking about having the fuel injectors removed and cleaned. Is this a good idea? Maybe have the spark timing checked too, but the engine really runs great and does not knock/ping when power braked, which is why I now think that the 02 sensor is detecting a lean misfire caused by dirty injector(s)???

OK, I figured it out. The misfire issue is related to junk wires bought from the parts store. Probably had low quality shielding and caused misfire at high RPMs. Did not misfire after using NGKs.(Which is what I wanted in the first place but out of stock and settled for less.) Then there was a P1336 code caused by the dealer not placing the sensor wire back in the clip on the timing cover when the belt and water pump were replaced-wire was cut by alternator belt after 2 months of rubbing. -Fixed at no charge at the dealer where that was done.

Bottom Line: Learn from my mistake-don't buy cheap parts-EVER!!!!
