I just purchased a 2006 Civic today with a locked radio. When I press the 1 & 6 buttons at the same time as instructed it does not retrieve the serial number. How can I find this out? I know the Vin of course but can't retrieve the code without the device serial number. Help!!

 

welcome to the forum. take the honda with your registration paperwork to the honda dealer service dept d they will get the code for you, and give you the code in the event you ever disconnect your battery, also if you check all the paperwork in your glove box some times the previous owner will leave the code in the glove box.
