So I'm in the market for a Civic and I've been eyeing the 2016 LX for while now. My dad is helping with the financing, but he wants me to get a used 2015 EX-L for $19K because he says it's safer than the 2016, since it's an LX trim. I don't really think that's the case, but don't really know much about the technical aspect of the cars.

I really prefer the body styling of the newest model and think that it has about the same safety features as the year older version. I know the EX-L has more features and tech included in the package, but what about drive-ability and standard features? How do they compare? What do you guys think I should go with?

 

Welcome in,with the exception of more air bags they are both similar in safety features.the price of that 2015 seems a bit high.
