3rd gear not working

Default 3rd gear not working
i own a 99 civic ex,5 speed,and when i go into 3rd gear the revs drop and wont accelerate but 1st and 2nd are just fine. what could be the problem?

welcome to the forum. the 3ed gear may have been stripped so no gear to use.
