Default 84 crx engine problem

Hello. About 6 months ago my CRX developed a water leak. I didn't mess with it for about 4 months. When I went back to try to find the leak I can't because the car doesn't run long enough to open the thermostat. It runs for about 10 minutes then dies. It will not start for about an hour after that. Any ideas? It runs strong when its running. Doesn't sound like anything is wrong but it just dies and won't start.

Actually was a good thing that it did because it got stolen while parked in the street after the water leak developed and they only got about 5 blocks =)

Anyways if someone has an idea of what might be doing this please let me know. Thanks.

the water leak could be a loose hose or a leak in the radiator.. as for it running then dying whats the gas level out.. older cars like that have an issue with there being no vacuum in the gas tank and after about 15-20 minutes dying out but only when the gas is low.. if the tank is full and it is still doing it maybe its a vacuum line issue i know those years a have a vacuum box mounted on the firewall... i would say go to autozones website or advance autos website and doing a free registration and looking up a vacuum diagram for that car and double checking everything

The leak seemed to be coming from behind(back of the engine compartment so the side I guess?) under the carb somewhere. I thought it might be one of the sensors that are down there, looked like they ran into the cooling system from what I remember. Then I noticed a small hose back there, and a long tube. I remember on my samurai it had a leak in that tube also. Like I said, I can't get it to leak because it doesnt run long enough. Not alot of room to look around under there, and I am not much of a mechanic.

I will check fuel level next time I look at it, but I think its at half a tank or so. thanks for the reply.
