98 civic wont start-please help
Ok, here goes. This is my kids car. The car started, he went to pull out of a space and his foot slipped off the clutch and it died. Now it wont start.
Heres what I know.
1 Its got spark, checked with a good plug
2 The rotor is spinning telling me the timing belt is still good
3 Its got fuel to the fuel filter, losened the banjo and turned key on, gas squirted out
4 Looking down the plug holes I can smell gas, and saw some on top of the pistons while cranking
5 One cylinder has 60 psi compression, others are all 150... This was dry, all plugs out, ECU fuse NOT pulled, and i did not pull the fuel pump fuse out. And i did not WOT the gas pedal while doing it.
My question is... Could the Timing belt have skipped a tooth or 2 causing it not to start, and bad comprerssion in one cylinder? Please help me, Im pulling my hair out. Anything else I should check?
