Buying a 2007 Civic - need input

Hi all,

Just about to buy a 2007 Civic EX (auto) and was wondering what others are getting for gas mileage. I have heard of a lot of people not getting the advertised 40MPG. Not that I expect that but I have heard numbers as low as 22mpg.

I do all highway 60 miles per day. Average speed is around 75mph. What should I expect?

Thanks
Kevin

My girlfriend and I just bought twonew 2007 Civic's, and after the first tank we are getting mid 20's. We drive city/highway combo. The service person told us better mileage would level off by 5,000 miles. We are hoping so as you are.

Anyone else getting better mileage?

My friend just got one as well. He was very disappointed in the gas mileage and said sometimes he got as little as 20 miles a gallon. He is also hoping it levels off as he got it primarily for its gas mileage.

I purchased an EX AT in Nov and have seen;

1st tank 37.8 mpg city/hwy
2nd tank 39.2 mpg hwy
3rd tank 33.9 mpg city

My last 06 EX AT was typically at 35 city and 37-38 hwy.
