Default Cat back exhaust system.....

So it appears that my entire exhaust sytem is corroded on my 1998 Honda Civic EX and needs to be replaced. I'm shopping online, and I found a cat-back exhaust system for $225.36 including shipping. I have a few questions; 1) Does a cat-back exhaust system include the catalytic converter? 2) Does this seem like a fair price? 3) How much do you think it should cost to install the parts?

welcome to the the forum. the cat back does include a cat, but some are hollow type cat, not strainer in it, so in Ca. it will not pass smog. you can install it your self, most of the time it is a bolt on. In our installation, we had to weld on a bracket for the large muffler. All the rest we bolted on

Are you sure that it includes a catalytic converter? I googled it, and google is stating that the cat-back exhaust system starts at the outlet of the cat. converter, and includes piping and the muffler.

I may be wrong but on another car I own,the Cat back did not include a Cat,hence the cat back reference.

My error, went back to view all the receipts for the accord, we did have to purchase a cat for the cat back. due to all the parts being chrome, forgot the cat was an extra part ordered.
