dash light fuse problems

I recently had my dash lights go out and replaced fuse #30 with a 7.5 amp fuse. Well in the past couple days i have blown 2-3 fuses and i don't know why it's happening. According to a fuse diagram i have the correct fuse but i don't know what to do. Help is appreciated!

RE: dash light fuse problems

You have a short circuit in your system, use the wire diagram, and trace from the fuse out to see if any wires are grounded, light bulbs burnt out, wires crossing in a bundle shorted, this may take a little time to troubleshoot. Your wire diagram may give you a troubleshooting guide to find the cause.

RE: dash light fuse problems

thanks for the help acmech52. it helped a lot except i have a new problem now. when i fixed the short in the wiring i turned the car on to find out that the SRS light is on. what must i have done to get this to light up? i asked a friend what it was and he told me it's the light to the airbag but the airbags didn't deploy so i have an idea that i may have crossed a wire when fixing the short or possibly hit a wire to set it off like that. any ideas are always appreciated. this forum rocks!
