Default Fog Lights on 2014 Civic EX Coupe

Hello everyone.

I am seeing the Honda fog light kit being sold for around $280. I am wondering how difficult of an installation this is? Has anyone done one on a 2014 (or 2013 if it's the same thing). The dealer wants $750 for parts and installation.

For example, I found

http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/produ...upe-2-exterior selling the equipment.

They say "Plug-in connectors mean no wire splicing or cutting, for more reliability", but I am very leery of that. Are the add-on fog lights controlled by the same push-button as a factory model?

Very eager for your advice, I am a new (and very happy) Civic owner.

I have an lx 07 and just installed my fog lights, but i bought mine off of ebay for $45. $280 is kinda pushing it, you should look on ebay, prices are way better. But when it comes to the wiring its nothing too complicated. If you have absolutely no knowledge on wiring when it comes to cars then you should have someone else do it. Its a lot of different wires tbh. But nothing too crazy.

Before you take it to honda, try finding a friend to help you out because Honda will rip you off

Any electrical accessories from honda are plug and play type
The parts dept. can print out installation instructions for you
That way you can go through it and see if you want to attempt it

wiring is easy the bumper needs to be removed so its fairly simple. i would advise against EBAY cheap materials, wiring, optics, light output to name a few they will easily crack if hit with a pebble on the highway and will most definitely let water in.

www.autofairhondaparts.com
They'll have the part cheaper and you can print out the installation instructions right there too.
