Getting closer...but smoke under the hood.
So I placed two treands and I have only got one responce. I hope this goes better.
My 1990 Honda Ciciv Si with A B18A1 swap has been sitting for about 18 months because of a stalling problem. I have cleaned my IACV and found a 50A IG fuse that was blown in the fuse box under the hood over the passanger side strut and replaced it. Today I started my car and man have I missed that sound....when it started I had a really load scream and after about 2 minutes it started to smoke and the alt. belt broke. Is there anything other than the alt being bad that could be wrong? Everything was moving but something was wrong. I just want to get some opinions before I work on it this weekend. Thanks for the help. |
after you take the belt off, turn all the pulleys with your hand, to see if any are stuck, if the a/c is tied in, try it also.

There ia no room for the AC after the swap.
The alt. is bad. Thanks for the help! |
