grinding sound when making sharp turns

I have a '98 Civic that, for the most part, has been a great car, but I think it may be near the end of its haul (I've sure driven it enough, & it's got over 150 k miles). I've already been told it'd need major work in order to make a long trip. Now, when I'm driving it, it's started making an awful grinding noise when I make sharp turns. Also, one day I had a lot of difficulty getting it to start, but that was a week ago so I assume it's not the battery. Even the more reasonable shops around here will charge $100 merely to inspect it. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the problem might be and what I should do? Thanks.

the grinding sound might be your wheel barring.(not sure if it has them or not) but its something to look into. the trouble starting could be as simple as a bad starter. and the fact that it only has 150k on it means youre just breaking her in. its a Honda bro as long as you take care of her and keep on the maintenance and she will never die on you. good luck bro hope I helped.

welcome to the forum. check your wheel wells to see if the tire may be touching the insides of the wheel well. Also check to see if your brake caliper is tight and the rotor is not touching the caliper.
