Hi. Can you please tell what this part called? I can't find it anywhere on honda parts web sites or ebay. All I see are the vertical middle pillars, or the long horizontal trim. But not this upper piece that curves around. It's a 2009 Civic.
welcome to the forum. may be called the door shell. its all one piece. or door panel
Thanks! So that piece is not removable? Not like those middle pillars? If so the only way to make it look better is to repaint it. Cause I don't even see anyone selling any stripes that would go over the part with adhesive..
1. At the A-pillar, remove the door checker mounting bolt (A).
2. Detach the clips (B, C, D, E), then remove the door weatherstrip (F).
3. Install the weatherstrip in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the weatherstrip is installed in the holder (G) securely.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to door checker mounting bolt before installation.
- When reinstalling the door panel, make sure the plastic cover is installed properly and sealed around its outside perimeter to seal out water.
