Hood deflector installation on a 02 dx
 

Hi,

A friend gave me a hood deflector for my 02 Civic dx coupe.
Unfortuantely, he doesn't have any instructions or additional parts for installation....

Can someone help me out? It doesn't look too complex, but I don't know where to start

CanadianNorth: welcome to the forum. is there any way you might describe the deflector. There are some (plastic)that go along the front of the hood and screws under the hood with pk screws. Some are like hood protectors made of soft material and has a bump on the top to break the air stream on to the window that attach with cupped corners of the hood and tighted with strap and hook.

Yeah, this one is a honda part, it's all-plastic and wraps under the lip of the hood. it does have four holes on top, two on each side. There aren't any holes underneath however.

the holes on the side of the deflector i believe attaches to the side of the hood, it is hard to picture the deflector having screws into the the top of the hood. Did your friend have 4 open screw holes in the hood of his civic after he removed the deflector. If so then the 4 holes on top are for screws to secure the deflector to the hood. I will do more research to get a better answer.
