How accurate are the 93 civic ex fuel gauges?

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum.. I've tried a few others but I get no help.. My question is how accurate are the fuel gauges in the 93 civic ex's? Mine moves very slow from beginning to half and after half it starts to move a lil faster but after 1/4 it goes extremely fast.. And at 1/8 of a tank it allowed me to put in 9.25 gallons and I he an 11.9 gallon tank.. What gives?

its almost 20 years old and not to mention honda gas gauges usually have bugs you could try using some fuel system cleaner but your best bet is to replace the fuel sender unit . http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-gauge1.htm

Could it also be the shape of my tank? Cause I already put new injectors on last month
