How-To: Replace the Sun Visor on a 6th Gen Honda Civic
What's good with it guys?
The passenger side sun visor on my '00 Civic was sagging worse than the posterior of a middle-aged WalMart shopper so I've finally decided to replace the sucker this past weekend. The visor in a 6th Gen Honda Civic can be easily replaced and the job should be completed in less than 30 minutes.
**REQUIRED TOOLS AND PARTS**
Phillips screwdriver
New visor- part # 83230-S01-A32ZC for the passenger side and #83280-S01-A32ZA for the driver side, respectively. The stealership charges $85 () for each visor but I came up on the exact same OEM visor for $61 at hondapartsnow.com
Let's get started!
1) Open the visor and look for the base of the visor, which on the right side of the driver's side visor and the left side on the passenger's side visor.
2) Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw from the plastic base. Once the screw is out, pull the visor down from the headliner.
3) Place the new visor on the headliner, in the open position, and press the base on the headliner so that the screw hole lines up with the hole in the headliner.
4) Insert the screw into the hole and tighten it completely. Test the visor by opening and closing it a few times to make sure the screw is tight enough.
5) Badda-bing! You're done
