K20 Type r

I have a 2000 honda civic si, but i want more power. So im thinking of going type r. I thought about b18 type r, and k20. the only ones i could find are JDM type r. Anyone know if these type R motors will pass emissions? because i dont want to pay this bid ass renewal fee every year for not passing. and do you think the k20 motor will fit in the civic with the gearbox transmission etc? Is the b18 type r ok for normal driving?

RE: K20 Type r

i have a buddie that put the k in his interga and he had to put the big shifter box in the car cause it wouuld not fit under the car. but yeah it should all fit and my buddie passed emissions but he had to put a high flow cat on it and put tape over the abs light cause he took it out. so you might have to lose you a/c and you power steering as long as you dont mind

my 2 sense

if the box was so big where exactly did he put it? and was it worth it compared to the b18 type r

idk about the type r b 18 not sure dont know anyone with onebut the box was the shifter box it goes where the shifter is so you cant have a center counsel and it puts the shifter about 4" to 6" higher then the stock location it fine you just out carpet over the box and the shifter is higher it no problem
