Need Help -- 97 Honda Civic --Push knob on Shift Lever is Hard...
 

Hi All,
I need some help. I've got a 97 Honda Civic LX and the push knob on the shift level has gotten really hard to push in to put it in gear. This is an Automatic Trans and I was trying to get some info or help on what i should do to fix this problem.

Have you tried to take it apart at all to see if there is something broken inside the mechanism? You may need to replace it or maybe just clean it up a bit and re-asemble. I don't know how it comes apart but if you have some kind of shop manual or even a Haynes manual for you car it may be able to assist you in the disasembly of it.
