Default Shaking and bogging in 2nd gear!!

I have a '93 Civic DX. First gear is flawless, along with every other gear, that is, except 2nd. When I shift into 2nd I instantaneously feel the power receed, then when it begins to increase in RPM's, the car begins to shake back and forth, almost as if it is not getting enough gas. The other 4 gears are perfect. I'm stumped. Any ideas? Thanks!

That's a good one because, as far as I know, there's nothing being modified with the engine management that's gear dependant. Maybe the linkage is pinching a wire somewhere? Could be that your driving habits cause you do put a different load in 2nd then any other gear. Run around the block awhile in say3rd gear using a wide rpm range and see if you can recreate the problem. Maybe a bad tps and you just hit the badspot in 2nd?
